Jeanne M. (Vekeman) Crombie
Born - August 6, 2021
Mrs. Jeanne M. (Vekeman) Crombie, 78, of Raynham, passed away on Friday, August 6, 2021 at Marion Manor. She was the wife of fifty-seven years to Henry P. Crombie. Jeanne was born in Woonsocket the daughter of the late Gontran and Lorenza (Forcier) Vekeman. She was a graduate of Saint Clare High School in Woonsocket and the from the Saint Anne’s Hospital school of Nursing as a registered nurse. Mrs. Crombie began working at Morton Hospital and then devoted her life to raising her family. She was a communicant of Saint Ann Church in Raynham. Jeanne enjoyed  making crafts, shopping and sewing. Mrs. Crombie cherished the time she spent with her family and friends. Jeanne also was a volunteer for Saint Anne’s Arts and Cultural Center in Woonsocket. She also was an avid Red Sox and Bruins fan. Survivors besides her husband are a daughter: Melanie M. Lockhart and her husband Tim of Hesperia, CA: two sons: Steven P. Crombie of Taunton and Brian J. Crombie of Medford; five grandchildren: Heather , Richard, Adam, Valerie and Alexander; two great grandchildren: James and Lucy; a twin sister: Jeannine Auger of Uxbridge; a brother: Denis Vekeman of New Jersey; along with several nieces and nephews.
