Ms. Muriel “Mimsy” G. Fournier was a lifelong resident and business leader of Woonsocket. She was the president of Fournier & Fournier Funeral Home and resided over the business located directly across the street from the former St. Ann’s Church where she was a lifelong parishioner.
For many years, while St. Ann’s was an operating parish, Ms. Fournier served as a parish trustee, member and president of the Ladies’ Guild and served as a member of St. Ann’s Pastoral Council.
In October of 2000, when it was announced that St. Ann’s Church would close, Ms. Fournier became part of the core group that formed the new St. Ann Arts and Cultural Center, helping to make sure that this jewel of the Blackstone Valley would live on. Ms. Fournier became one of the Center’s greatest advocates, tirelessly serving as treasurer and trustee. She lent her support to the Center’s programs and attended every event until her passing.

Ms. Fournier cherished her relationships with God, her family and her friends and will be deeply missed by many.
